Welcome to our English Communication course for Mechanical & Process Engineers (Intermediate B2) course.
This is a so-called inquiry-based English course designed for you - future Engineers! It emphasizes the students' role in the learning process, and rather than the teacher telling students what they need to know, students are encouraged to explore the material given, ask questions, and share ideas! Its principles are creative real-life tasks, inspiring collaborative projects, carefully curated material, and of course... having fun while learning English!
The course is divided into projects for you to tackle this semester. E.g.: What is engineering (for you)? / Explaining technical functions and applications / Dealing with technical problems and faults / Communication at the workplace / Scientific presentations
Every successfully completed project (which includes actively participating in forum discussions, zoom meetings, and completing assignments) is shown in a portfolio grading system with an oral exam at the end.
