Information technology used in companies is becoming more andmore
important and complex. A numerous and increasing numberof enterprise
applications and systems used in business processessubstantiates
this development. Enterprise architecture management(EAM) helps
companies to address related challenges. In this regard,EAM describes
the management practice based on the business stra-tegy to support the
transformation of the IT landscape by defining,communicating and using a
coherent set of guidelines, governanceand architectural principles.In
this course students will learn about the fundamental conceptsof
enterprise architectures and their management. They also get toknow
basic techniques to develop business models, digital strategiesand
transform these into business, information system and techno-logy
architectures. Students will solve several case studies
regardingenterprise architecture challenges in practice. This provides a
goodoverview of typical IT landscapes and systems, as well as related
me-thods in managing the complexity within the enterprise.
