VT Management Accounting - Controlling tools WS 25/26

Content: In this course, students will learn the basics of the following management control processes and apply their newly acquired knowledge in case studies during the semester. The focus topics of the course are:

  • Management control framework (incl. responsibility centers)
  • Strategic and operational planning
  • Forecasting
  • Performance measurement & variance analysis
  • Sustainability control
Examination / grading: written exam at the end of the semester (50%) and course works (e.g. case studies, home assignment) during the semester (50%).

Timetable: course will take place on Thursdays (first lecture, 02.10.), generally every other week from 09.50 to 13.10 Uhr.
Exact dates will be communicated in the first lecture and will be available in Moodle afterwards.
