
Content: In this course, students will learn die necessary basics of conducting an outsourcing decision and project and will apply their newly acquired knowledge in case studies during the semester. Focus topics of the course are:
- Financial perspective on logistics & supply chains
- Outsourcing: drivers, opportunities & risks as well as success factors
- 4 major steps of the outsourcing process
- (Financial) tools to control outsourcing decisions
- Project management tools to manage an outsourcing project
- Relevance of sustainability in outsourcing decisions/processes
Timetable: course will take place on Thursdays (first lecture, 02.10.), generally every other week from 14.00 to 17.10 Uhr.
Exact dates will be communicated in the first lecture and will be available in Moodle afterwards.
Examination / grading: written exam at end of semester (50%) and course works (e.g. case studies, home assignment) during the semester (50%).
