

In diesem Projekt lernen Sie praxisrelevante Software von DATEV kennen. Erste Erfahrungen sind hilfreich, aber nicht zwingend erforderlich.
Die Veranstaltung findet vom 09. bis 12. März 2026 von 9:00 bis 16:00 Uhr statt. Im Anschluss haben Sie einige Wochen Zeit, sich intensiv mit den DATEV-Schulungsprogrammen auseinanderzusetzen, bis am 10.04.2026 von 09:00 bis 11:00 Uhr die DATEV-Führerscheinprüfung stattfindet.
Neben der Note für das Projekt erhalten Sie ein Zertifikat von DATEV, das in der Wirtschaft einen hohen Stellenwert hat.

Termin des Planspiels: Das cloudbasierte Planspiel (Teilnahmepflicht) findet statt vom 27. bis 29. März (Freitag bis Sonntag). Am 27. März starten wir um 13:30 Uhr im Computerlabor (Anwesenheitspflicht). Am 28. und 29. März starten wir jeweils um 09:00 Uhr, allerdings: NICHT IM COMPUTERLABOR. An diesen beiden Tagen werden Sie mit Ihrem/Ihrer TEAM CAPTAIN/ESSE von "zuhause aus" tätig sein. Last but least: Applied Business Management will be taught in (non-native) English; Guest and Erasmus Students, however, ought to understand the comments above given that studying in Germany is about practising German language skills, too, isn’t it? Hence, I wouldn‘t have survived in Paris w/o understanding and speaking French. Verständlicher Weise.

International Sales Law introduces students to the legal framework governing cross-border sales of goods, with a particular focus on the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). The course covers contract formation, the obligations of seller and buyer, remedies for breach, and selected issues of risk, damages, and international trade practice. It is especially designed for incoming exchange students and offers an accessible introduction to international commercial law in a comparative and practice-oriented perspective.

Interdisciplinary Project: Effective Use of Blockchain Technology in Business
Team: Mixed group of International Management students + Computer Science students
Supervisors: Prof. Freyenfeld + Prof. Görmer-Redding
Objective: In interdisciplinary teams, you will develop a working prototype for a concrete blockchain use case. Supported by the professors, you will translate an idea into a practical application—from concept to implementation. You will have considerable creative freedom and gain hands-on experience with a cutting-edge technology.

Das Projekt findet regelmäßig am Dienstag Nachmittag statt. Umfang 4 SWS. Start am 17.3.
Wo und wie steigen unserer AbsolventInnen in den Beruf ein? Wie entwickeln sie sich beruflich weiter? Und umgekehrt: Welche typischen Werdegänge haben Führungskräfte im HR-Bereich und Vorstandsmitglieder von DAX-Unternehmen?
Mit diesen Fragen werden wir uns im Projekt beschäftigen und eigene Analysen dazu durchführen.

In the summerterm 2026 the seminar "Marketing Analytics" deals with data collection via online panels. The focus thereby is on the panelists, i.e. the participants of online surveys.
The seminar will take place in cooperation with gutfeel, a panel provider from Munich. You will examine the current business model of Online Access Panels and develop strategies, to enhance the panelists‘ experience and journey. All is done against the background of enhancing data quality. This includes a survey about the motivation and gain/pain points of the respondents as first insights for further action, as well as the development of a long-term concept to increase the the commitment and loyalty of panelists to the panel provider.
Co-lecturer is Dominik Grauer, Co-founder of gutfeel.
Depending on the participants, the lecture language will be english or german. Regardless, good German language skills are required, since the communication with the panelists will be in German.

Strategic Management describes the process that companies use to gain competitive advantage against their competition in the given environment. It helps students to understand the importance of analyzing the environment and their own strengths and limitations to find the best available strategy to survive and prosper under the conditions of globalization, fierce competition and changing environments. With the help of many examples students are able to identify and define strategic options to improve competitiveness.
In the course students will get an insight into the strategic decision making process according to Barney and Hesterly. They will understand the importance of a company vision, how to set targets, make an internal and external analysis to identify strategic options that should result into a competitive advantage.
The lecture is combined with a business simulation in which students can test their acquired knowledge. Information about that you find in the respective course.

In this simulation students will learn how to manage a company in a competitive environment. Students will take the role as members of the board to decide in six rounds about strategic options to let their company succeed against the competition. The simulation id designed under the motto Learning Business by Doing Business.
To ensure the learning success of the simulation it will be held as a blocked seminar of two full days on Friday/Saturday, starting 08:00.
Students that enroll should also choose one of the weekend dates. Simulation Dates can be chosen in the course
